We're hiring Educational Specialist AI & Digital Thinking · Full-time · Bangalore · 0 to 5 years

Teach a generation to think for itself, before the machines do it for them.

Today's kids will spend their whole lives working alongside AI. Hardly anyone is teaching them how to handle it. We are. We need someone to help us build it.

Why this matters ↓ How to apply // 0 to 5 years · freshers welcome

Schools are good at getting kids to memorise facts and follow steps. They're not good at teaching them to solve a problem they've never seen before. That's what worries us most.

AI raises the stakes. A kid who can't think for themselves just does whatever the chatbot says. One who can puts it to work and stays in charge. We teach both: how to solve problems, and how to think alongside AI instead of handing it your thinking.

Students working through Ei Mindspark on a laptop in a government school

So we're building the subject from scratch, because nobody has done it properly yet. We don't ship anything we wouldn't put in front of our own kids: every Ei ASSET question has one answer that's provably right, and every Ei Mindspark puzzle has to be one a child would choose to play. The only way to know is to sit in a government school and watch thirty of them try to break it. Around 70,000 kids across grades 3 to 10 in Telangana already learn this way.

What we make

Two products. You'd work on both.

Ei ASSET AI & Digital Thinking

the test

A diagnostic that shows what a child actually understands, not just what they can repeat back. It tells a teacher exactly where each student is stuck.

ASSET has measured how Indian students think for more than twenty years. This is the AI & Digital Thinking version.

Ei Mindspark AI & Digital Thinking

the platform

A learning platform where kids work through interactive puzzles at their own pace, on a laptop or tablet.

Mindspark has taught millions of children maths and reading. This is the AI & Digital Thinking version.

The job, plainly

What you'd actually do.

  • WRITEThe questions.Diagnostic items for Ei ASSET, grades 3 to 10. You write them, tear them apart in review, then watch real kids take them and see what tripped them up.
  • DESIGNThe puzzles. The idea and the level design for a Mindspark module a child wants to solve. You get it built with our developers, then test it on real kids.
  • READThe data.Where kids dropped off, which question everyone got wrong, what to fix next. You dig in and come back with the answer.
  • TEACHThe classroom.School visits, teacher training, the monthly newsletter, translation work. The subject is new, so explaining it well lands on you.

You'll pick up some light building and AI tools as you go. It isn't a coding job.

Eligibility

Who we're looking for.

We hire for what you can do and who you are, not where you studied.

  • You can make a hard idea click for someone who's never seen it.
  • A builder and a maker, with a project or portfolio to show.
  • Comfortable picking up light front-end and AI tools as you go.
  • A degree in anything. Math, stats, engineering or CS helps; caring about kids and puzzles helps more.

Straight talk

Read both columns before you apply.

This is for you if

  • +You're curious and act on it. You spot where a kid gets stuck and try a fix.
  • +You solve problems sideways. You'll try the odd route when the usual one fails.
  • +You finish things. Ideas shipped, not just had.
  • +You think about the child. You care how a kid actually reads your work.
  • +You take feedback well. It makes the work better and you know it.

It isn't, if

  • You love jargon. We pick the plain word, every time.
  • You want a ready-made curriculum. You'd be writing it, not following it.
  • You're set in your ways. "This is how it's done" doesn't fly here.
  • You prefer working alone. We build in the open, together.
  • You polish forever. We'd rather ship and improve.

The team

Who you'd build with.

Five of us so far, no two alike on paper: an electronics engineer, an industrial product designer, a statistician, a doctoral researcher and a computer science engineer. One seat is open. It could be yours.

Off the clock

cricket fans avid readers Sunday bullseye solvers solo backpackers bike-trip people thriller-film buffs

What ties us together is the work itself, and not much patience for ideas that aren't worth a kid's time.
